Pratt & Whitney PurePower® PW1200G Engine Takes to the Skies: Begins First Flight Test Program
The Pratt & Whitney PurePower® PW1200G engine successfully completed its first flight on April 30, launching the engine family’s flight test program. The PW1217G engine for the Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ) aircraft flies on a specially designed stub wing aboard Pratt & Whitney’s Boeing 747SP flying test bed.

Gearing up for Certification: PurePower® Geared Turbofan Engine Test Program Progressing Rapidly
Pratt & Whitney has initiated certification icing testing for its PW1524G engine for the Bombardier* CSeries* aircraft family. The PW1200G engine for Mitsubishi Regional Jet began its first flight test campaign on April 30 and is scheduled to begin certification testing by the end of the second quarter.
